wired home security systems

I initially just wanted to get an overall impression of how it worked. My experience was generally pretty positive. The camera shows good detail to a range of about 25 feet or so. It can see beyond that, although it loses so clarity. You would not really be able to see the details of a face beyond this range. However, how far out do you really need to see, if the main goal is just to pick up who is at the front door, or who is coming up to the house?Personally, I was very satisfied at this level of performance.

What he didn't tell us was that it would cost $49 to have a technician come to our house to replace the broken equipment. I will admit that it is my fault for skimming the the fine print, and I mean almost unreadable fine print, on the back of the Vivint contract. It does say there that you must have the Vivint premium service package to waive the service fee. Our new Vivint doorbell camera has the same connection issues. I once again called Vivint and was told that we would need to have a repeater installed between the camera and the panel. The panel shows that the signal strength on the camera is above 90%. Vivint said that they will charge another $49 service call fee to have a repeater installed. I argued that the system was not installed properly if we needed a repeater, but they will not waive the fee. Vivint said if we would have needed the repeater within 120 days they would have replaced it for free, but we are outside of that timeframe. During that 120 day timeframe Vivint customer service was having us reset the camera. I really like this doorbell camera and how it integrates with my ADT system.

However, audio is arguably less important than video for the purposes of an inexpensive security camera. We had some trouble setting up this camera, largely because it felt less stable than other cameras we tested. After setup, it was relatively easy to use due to an intuitive mobile app, though it doesn't let you schedule when to record video. Belkin uses the cloud to store video recordings from the NetCam, as long as you pay a subscription fee of $5. 99 each month – very competitive with other cloud storage plans. The camera also works with Belkin's WeMo smart home devices as well as voice control services such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
